The customer will however, pay for the electricity supplied to it, vide the long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and at the end of the tenure of agreement the project is handed-over to the customer free-of-cost, with complete ownership / or by charging depreciated value of the solar pv plant as per the terms finalized.

This model is highly preferred by the Corporates, who invest in power plant on Capex basis and install the Rooftop solar power plant. This yields enormous benefits, as the cost of power becomes negligible. It promises fastest ROI. This investment is really worthwhile for them as it shields them from rising energy expenses in the long run. The investors also stand to avail the benefit of depreciation against this investment.
